There is a practice worksheet for learning the Uncial handscript, as well as a video tutorial. One of the included versions of the Beowulf story features faint text designed for tracing with a calligraphy pen, so you can learn and practice the Uncial hand and then use it to hand-write your illuminated manuscript, just like the scribes of old!
 
The book is 24 pages in total, print ready and designed to be hand sewn (saddle-stitched). A fantastic art and literature project for young students! There are two sizes available for printing depending on your printer capabilities, both formatted appropriately for either 8.5x11 letter printing or 11x17 ledger printing for folio folding. Included in this package are both the regular version (just for coloring) and the calligraphy practice version (for coloring and hand-scripting) so you can master the early medieval handscript style.
